This learn to lead trad course is for people with some experience of rock climbing who want to progress to leading routes on natural rock and placing gear, outside. You’ll always be learning better techniques, new efficiencies, and methods for managing risk. Aid climbing provides immediate feedback. And all of that is, in addition, to physically climbing the route! Learn to Lead, Lead Climbing Course based in the Lake District and Snowdonia. Having completed these two courses, it has opened up SO MUCH climbing ability in the US and abroad. This two-day course is an excellent entry-point into the world of trad and leading. Under the eye of a qualified instructor, you’ll learn the fundamentals to lead safely and efficiently on rock using removable protection. The Learn to Lead Trad Climbing course prepares you to confidently take the sharp end - leading climbs by placing protection, building secure belays, and moving decisively on rock. Our courses are delivered from our Basecamp, right on the high street in Llanberis In this 2 day course, you will master the basic skills needed to be a competent trad climber in a single pitch environment.
